Hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

In early January of 2025 a friend reached out to invite me to join he and his daughter on a trip to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. I didn’t really know what to expect, but the experience was nothing less than incredible.

Dead Woman Pass, is the highest elevation on the renowned Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Rising to 4,215 meters (13,828 feet) above sea level, the pass poses a demanding physical and mental test for those trekking this legendary path.
